Greetings. Mountain Top Cares Coalition, in cooperation with New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS),
is offering you an opportunity to be trained to administer the life-saving drug, naloxone. Naloxone is a medication used to reverse opioid overdoses. It is easily administered by a trained person. The training is virtual and takes approximately two hours. All participants will be issued a Naloxone kit containing the drug.
We are pleased to bring this opportunity to you during the New York State COVID-19 Pause as an alternative to in-person trainings. In-person training events in your community will resume as soon as the pause is over, so please consider contacting OASAS to host one or more if you are in a position to do so. A brochure describing the program is attached.
Training will be held on May 20th, 2020 at 4:00PM EST. The training will last approximately 2 hours.
