Striving to Make Narcan Available on the Mountain Top!

Please join us for training on February 17, 2022 at 7:00 PM.
We are offering you an opportunity to be trained to administer the lifesaving drug, naloxone (NarcanĀ®).

Narcan is a medication used to reverse opioid overdoses.
It is easily administered by a trained person.

Naloxone (Narcan) is a medication designed to rapidly reverse an opioid overdose. It is an opioid antagonist, meaning that it binds to receptors in the brain and can block the effects of opioids. It can quickly restore normal respiration to a person whose breathing has slowed or stopped due to overdosing with an opioid such as heroin or prescription medications.

The training is virtual, takes approximately one hour and is open to anyone and everyone. There is no charge to participants.

Do Not Miss This Opportunity.
All participants will be issued a kit containing the life-drug naloxone.

Note: If you require a narcan kit and reside on the mountain top (Ashland, Jewett, Haines Falls, Halcott, Hunter, Lexington, Maplecrest, Prattsville, Tannersville, Westkill, or Windham) please call and we will supply you with a kit.
