Recovery Coach Training Part 1

Recovery Coach Training is a three part series. Part 1 will be held Monday thru Friday, 4/22, 4/23, 4/24, 4/25 & 4/26 from 9:30am-4:30pm. The first 3 days will be on zoom and the last 2 days will be in-person at 52 N Lake Rd. Haines Falls, NY. Upon completion of part 1 (recovery coach), the instructor will coordinate and schedule part 2 (ethics) and part 3 (medication supported recovery)

Are you living in sustained recovery and ready to become a guide for others? Get trained as a Recovery Coach! These trainings are free to Greene County, NY residents. Not in Greene County? That's ok! For non-resident pricing please email the instructor below.

What will you learn in part 1? You will be able to:

  • Explain the role and responsibilities of a "Recovery Coach".
  • Identify the key components, core values, and guiding principles of recovery.
  • Develop skills to improve relationships.
  • Explore various aspects of recovery and recovery coaching.
  • Discuss attitudes towards self-disclosure and sharing personal stories.
  • Describe the stages of recovery.
  • Explain the stages of change and how they apply to recovery.
  • Increase awareness of cultural, power, and privilege dynamics.
  • Address ethical considerations and boundaries.
  • Engage in recovery wellness planning.
  • Practice newly learned skills.
  • Registration is required. All materials will be provided.
